I installed One Number and everything seemed to go smoothly but I cannot dial out or receive a call - it does ring and I can click the green phone to pick up but it just keeps on ringing on my iPhone until voicemail picks up. Texting works fine. Google Talk works without these issues - I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, booting and rebooting - still rings when receiving a call but can,t actually answer the call and I can't call out.

We are in the same boat as well.. For me I cannot call out: while I can call  out,  I cannot hear any dial tone. The call timmer counts down, but I cannot hear anything. The same for incoming. They can hear me, but I cannot hear them.

I tried the voice test and it works, I hear music on the bluetooth, or the mac.  Its not a port issue, since all are open. I called support, and they are unable to do anything, I have been hearing on another forum same issue for allot of people.

I just installed Rogers One Number and am able to receive texts on my PC, however if I try to respond it gives me a pop up telling me that text messagig is currently blocked on my wireless account. If that were true I wouldn`t be able to send texts from my iPhone either....

I'm in the same boat - can't get the contacts from my iphone 4 to sync with the online interface. The last 8 or so Txt messages from my phone sync'd - but none of my contacts are going over.

Couple things:

1) my contacts are on my macbook - is there (there should be) not an easy way to just import contacts to rogersone directly from my macbook?

2) made a test call the other day from rogersone on my macbook - call quality was fine, sounded good on both ends - so far no problems with the call service. If only my contacts were online.

I agree with one of the other posts in this thread - I'll keep using google talk / skype / etc... till this service is more user friendly and functional.

  • Still issues with which ports to open up. Works fine at home but not on work network. Firewall issue? - no answer yet
  • Intermittent dial-out capabilities (works some times and not others) Does it find an open port occasionally?
  • Does not respond to incoming call
  • What is the point of the favorites?? Mark your favorites and so? What does it do with them? They don't show up in the phonebook and are not sorted or appear anywhere other than with a star next to the name along the left column?? Pointless??
  • I often have to click on "Display the Phone" several times before a web page appears.

Honestly..........this isn't ready for primetime yet. I'm not sure why this has been released.

Yeah the rep I spoke with said that One Number was not intended to be used behind a router. Whhhhat? Correct me if I'm wrong but in 2012 most people have a router. My particular router is a DLink DIR-825 and I've tried DMZ, SIP ports 5060 - 5061, still nothing - it does work if I unplug my wan and not use the router.

So I guess I'll just continue to use GTalk or Skype until Rogers reconfigures One Number to function in this decade. What a waste of time -

So I installed Rogersonenumber on my MacBook Air (seems like most of us here are this pretty looking thing :smileywink:) and on the PC. Also installed One Contact on my iPhone, ran the sync and it shows 0 synced. The directory shows all the contacts I have on my iPhone(probably it reads off your iPhone contact list), but I want my iPhone contacts to be synced with all other devices(MacBook Air and the PC). I don't want to manually feed the numbers on Rogersonenumber, that'd be a pain in ***.

Please resolve the issue of sync function. It should work!

But then I know it's Rogers so I can wait for a few months :smileyvery-happy:

Cheers,

A.

Contact app works fine on my  phone, and imported all my contacts into the app (on the phone), but has synced nothing on the PC side. I've had it installed for nearly a week now, and it says it's successfully syncing, but nothing is happening PC side.

BTW, the contact app keeps notifiying me of a friends birthday today... over and over!! I keep dismissing it and it's popped up about 15 times today. Quite infuriating. Will be uninstalling for now, since it's not syncing anyways.

Otherwise, I'm loving the service though. Particularly the texting from PC.

Hi there, I also have the same problem with voice calls from Rogers One to any Canadian phone numbers. The other party can hear me but I can't hear them. I have tried to reinstall the Rogers One App on my Mac. Here are the spec of my Macbook Pro, 2.53Ghz core 2 duo, 4GB ram with 10.6.8 OS. What can I do to fix this?

Thanks in Advance

I installed Rogersonenumber on my PC (4yr old Dell running XP), behind a router  (5 yr old Linksys wirless router) and it works farky well.  It is ealry days but it makes and recieves calls and texts.  They don"t have a contacts app for my older BB so I did not go down that (apparently dead end) road.  I have another issue about texting that I will post on its own though.
