EB408 - Port Issue - Abroad in Korea

I've done a little research, and understand the EB408 error is a port problem, however I do not have access to the router profile here in my Korean school and was very keen on using RON while i'm abroad and working here.

Does anyone have any work arounds for this?  Or experience this issue while trying to connect to RON overseas.

I am using a MacBook running OS X 10.6.8.  My Skype, FaceTime, GoogleTalk, and other voip services work great and have no issues whatsover.  It's extremely frustrating paying for a service that should work yet doesn't.

The service seemed great and worked in Canada both at home and around my province...and I understand third party routers are not supported, but for the above options to work extremely well, and this not, what is the point in keeping this service with such inconsistency.

I hope in a future update something can be done about this to enable a better user experience.

Thanks

Hello 640gti,

I am sorry to hear the difficulties you are having with using Rogers One Number while overseas. This program sounds perfect for someone in your situation and I wish we had more options for you.

You are correct about the EB408 error and at this time, the only solution is to modify the router settings or bypass the router completely (which I understand you are unable to do).

Thank you for your patience,

@rogersashak

Simply put Rogers1number is a poor service and lackluster at best. How can Skype, FaceTime, GoogleTalk, and other voip services all work wonderfully well here in Korea, while rogers1number is a complete failure. If everyone else can make it work... You can't?

How can you even market this as an alternative? It isn't.

Anyone reading this: save yourself the time and the hassle and avoid Rogers1number entirely.
