So I installed rogersonenumber to my work windows and home mac laptops. Seems to work and testing it sending an SMS from the windows laptop did work. I could already do that from other tools so no real gain there.
It would be a lot more useful if it actually had all the contacts from my iPhone so I installed the contacts app and ran the sync. it always tells me 0 numbers synced.
Tried to add a number from the other side. Added a test number from the Rogers contacts app and this did indeed go to the iPhone ater a sync. But that's not useful at all and it is a pain to remove after because you have to delete it from both iPhone and Contacts before re-syncing or it will just re-appear on the iPhone.
I still have to test the actual voice calling from the computer but this I could already do with google or skype so really the only benefit was the contacts integration and maybe receiving calls on my mobile number to my laptop.

Hi Fastfwd, unsure if your having any issues or not. You have detailed what Rogers One Number was designed for and it sounds like it's working fine for you.
Please PM me if you need any help ![]()

I just need the answer to one question I guess.
Should the contacts I already had on my phone sync towards rogers contacts so that I can access them from the rogersonenumber website when sending SMS or calling via the laptop?

I am also very interested to know if there is any way to sync the contacts on my iphone to my rogers one account. Thanks!

Contact sync from my Samsung Galaxy to Rogers One Number is not working either, using the Android app.

Well I got my first incoming phone call when on the laptop at home yesterday.
Brand new macbook air core i7, nothing else running but mail and browser at the time.
I have a 15mpbs Videotron connections, plenty fast for great call quality on google talk all the time
The person calling me immediately complained about the call quality. I had to ask her to call me back so I could pick up with the phone because I could not get the call to switch.
So that's it.
No contact sync from iPhone->rogers contacts
Not good enough call quality
I'll keep using Vonage when on Wifi, Rogers when on 3G and Google talk when on my laptop. Rogersonenumber is just not ready yet.

I have a macbook air, and installed this software as well. I was really excited, thinking this would be great when using wifi etc. However, this is what I encountered:
The phone rings, but there is no voice? I cannot hear anything. I did the soiund test and I can hear sound in my bluetooth, and the Laptop- I tested both. The "support page" tells you to re-install. Well good luck with that, because the link it provides you is the login page. There is no link, and there is no software download anywere on this page or any other Rogers site.
They also advise you to unlock ports. Well were? How do you honestly expect people to understand this?. This is a really a bad bad product overall.
1. No support anywere. Your links send you back to the sign in page.
2. unistall/ reinstall does not work becaue you cannot re-install it.
3 Have to spend hours looking for the support; honestly guys, this should never have been relasesd until you have figured this out. I am very disppointed in this service, and have unistalled it. Very poor overall.

NO offence guys, but even that link does NOT tell me what OS my Mac needs to have. Searching for that is like a needle in a haystack!
I have a mac book air;
Mac OS 10.7.3
issue is No dial tone, phone picks up they can hear you, you cannot hear them. Phone rings normally on the mac. Audio test works. I am hearing from other users the same issue as well. I have checked the ports- they are all open.
