Tonight we seem to be missing more channels than we actually are getting.
In the last 4 years we've had this happen to the same set of channels (TLC, A&E, SPIKE, SPACE).
Tonight, those are about the only channels we DO have, with most of the "regular" channels missing (black screens, nothing else - no sound either), but also some of the package we paid for. Turned on SHOW tonight to watch a movie I was waiting to see and nothing - black screen there.
Really tired of this. Service calls are useless ... they want to send someone out "next week", well NO, I'm paying for this so just fix it. The reps always try to make like it's your fault cause you don't have a digital box on your TV but no, these channels normally work just fine without a digital box. They also always want to come to my house - but every single time it's been something on their end, not ours.
Don't have old TVs either, most of them are only a couple of years old.
I like Rogers, but this is becoming nonsense.
We're in Orillia, so that's three separate areas.
Can't blame this one on us.
I went and checked the 1 TV we have a digital box for (1 out of 5) and it's getting all the channels, just not the ones connected to the wall outlets directly.
My channels are back. Rogers is doing badly recently - we were part of that massive Rogers internet crash last weekend. Let's hope they get it together.
When i called in (for a seperate issue) there is a recorded message.
There is some channel outages in ontario. So this is likely what you are experiencing.. so a tech, etc is not really necessary.
They are apparently working to resolve it.
does this channel outage affect digital and analog lineups? anyone with a digital box or DTA can they check if their channels are affected as well?
I am running only digital boxes and DTA in my house so I will never be aware of any outages limited to the analog cable unless i hear about them on forums like these ones
We have reports that some customers not using a Rogers Digital Terminal may be experiencing service interruptions with Rogers Cable TV in the GTA. We apologize for the inconvenience and are working to resolve this ASAP.
Well Chris, that reply was a year ago and here in Ingersoll I have lost a bunch of channels that Rogers is still charging me for. I get them on the Rogers box but not on the original box that was getting them all on. So what's the excuse now?
