It has disappeared without a trace! I've also posted a msg, hopefully we can get this resolved soon.
Its not necessarily a 'resolved' thing.
It is a feature that was removed from it with this guide. Why? i dont know.. but its not something likely that can be added back overnight possibly.
Best to keep you thread and make them aware, and hope that they do add it back at some point. They did an update 2 days ago, so they are pushing updates with some things as time goes on.

Sleep timer is gone.
I have never had it record 4 times like that. Did it record them all on the same channel? or different channels different times?
I sounds like if you were trying to record the series, it has been set up wrong.

I have a pre-Netbox 8642 with the old Guide. If I go to Whole Home and add a new 4642 to the second TV will I have to use the new IPG?

Thanks. I was afraid that was the answer. I tried the Enhanced Guide back in June and decided to go back to the Old Guide because of a problem with the "Record" function. The Enhanced Guide would not accept a scheduled recording for a future program because it thought (incorrectly) that the disc had insufficient space. This happened a number of times, once when I was only trying to record an hour long program at a time when I still had 75% unused disc space. I schedule a lot of my favourite programs to record in advance, so this was a dealbreaker for me. Any suggestions, apart from getting a memory extender.

Thanks again. I have had no problems since reverting. The Old Guide works fine.
Did you not say in an earlier post that you had to delete all your old recorded programs before upgrading to the new IPG? Or was it that once you deleted all your old recorded programs you didn't get insufficient disc warnings from the new IPG preventing you from recording. Was this before or after you got the extender? If I can get around the problem with the new IPG thinking there's insufficient disc space I might give it a try again.
By the way, I noticed that most of the complaints about the new IPG were in the January to June time frame (i.e. in the early days of rolling it out). Has Rogers fixed many of these problems? I don't see too many recent posts compalining that the new IPG and Whole Home don't work.

You shouldnt HAVE To delete anything before the upgrade to the new IPG (But recordings are never guaranteed, so they COULD be erased anyways durring the update). I would try to have the box more free than full, JUST to be sure.
There are still complaints out there.. but LESS of them now. There were some major things in that time frame almost rendering it unusable.
Bigest thing currently
- some people find it too slow the button press to repsonse time
- some people clam lost recordings (i have never had that).
-Just some odd menu choices which could/should be changed.. missing features from the old one, etc.
New! Introducing a new feature: groups. Read more.
