Is there a limit to the maximum number of Email to SMS contacts you can have in one message?

I moderate a small group list of people that have subscribed to news via text message. I basically send notices and reminders in a blank email and the people who have signed up receive them. I have several subscribers from several carriers, but only Rogers is not working lately.

I've tested whether or not it was the addresses, but it still works if I send to 1, 2, 3 or even 5. Problem is, I don't want to start spamming people to test Rogers' service.

Anyone know if there is a limit to the number of Rogers contacts I can include in one message? What is the workaround, sending several individual messages?

Help.

Hi justuspl,

Are you able to send to your Distribution List okay now?

Are you encountering any issues?

Hi Darrell,

No I still cannot send the text messages through. When we first started the list it was fine. It worked for months, but recently (To pinpoint I'd say maybe January/February) it began returning failed delivery notices.

I tried with a few words to weed out whether it was too many characters or not, and have tried testing with a few people in one message and it seems to work fine. As soon as I include the rest of my addresses it doesn't work. Other carriers receive the message but Rogers clients.

I figure it must be a limitation set on the Rogers SMS server or something along the lines of that. Any thoughts?
