I'm heading to the US next week and I wanted to set up voice and data roaming. Using the browser interface I was able to successfully add a voice pack to my account, but when I follow the same process to add a 1 week data pack it doesn't work - according to the browser it's done, but it never shows up in the My Account app or in my account when I log into MyRogers.
Thinking that it might still have been something I did wrong I contacted Customer Care and while they confirmed that the data pack had not been added, they had no idea why it wasn't working - they passed me to Tech Support who didn't seem to care because the phone itself (iPhone 4S) was working properly.
The data passes are only available through the phone; they aren't on the Rogers website that I can find - all I see there is a $10/month add-on which I'd be required to keep for 3 months and doesn't give me a pre-set bucket of data, which is what I want. According to the website I will be given the opportunity to buy the travel pack once I enter the roaming area, but if it's not working now I see no reason to think it'll work then.
Has anyone else had the problem and if so, were you able to resolve it?
