Hi, I've been using my sisters old Blackberry for awhile now, and the texting on that works fine, after awhile, it seemed like I was wasting the X7. So I am trying to get it to work.
I've replaced my X7 twice now, and they all have the same problem.
I can receive their texts and calls, but for some numbers, they won't see my message that I would send. I've tried "hard-reset" as Rogers Customer Service suggested, and that did not work, I've tried deleting them as a contact and things, and they still don't get it.
Rogers says that my texts go through, but my friends says they don't get it.
This problem usually happens to MTS and Fido. (Manitoba)
Someone, please help me.
Extra Info you might want to know:
I've been having this trouble for 3 months.
It's not the sim card, since I can send texts fine with other phones.
I don't think it's MTS or Fido's fault since I can send texts with OTHER PHONES fine.
I have unlimited texting.

Hey, I sent you the private message of my info. I forgot to add that I digged into more, and that when I look at my delivery reports, all of the messages that wouldn't send is "Pending".

Hi
I have this exact same issue. Nokia X7, can send an receive messages to many networks, Rogers, and Telus, and overseas numbers too. Cannot send to MTS numbers. I can receive from MTS just fine. Delivery reports also show "pending".
Also, as per rogers support instructions, just tried hard reset tonight, no change. Still unable to text to MTS, but others working fine.
Do we have a solution for this issue?

Just in case anyone else lands on this page with the same issue:
After three useless sessions on Rogers Live Chat that left me looking at a 3 hour drive to the city to return the phone to the store for repair - even though the phone works fine with other sim cards, I found the solution on a web forum relating to the Samsung Corby Pro.
Set the phone to use a reduced character set for text messages and they go through fine.
Open the messaging app, select options, settings, text message
There is an option for character encoding, with choices of 'full support' or 'reduced support'
Select 'reduced support'
Job done.
Rogers support might want to take note of this, as it seems to be a recurring issue with newer "smart" phones.

Thank you so much! You've helped me more than Rogers Customer Support themselves! You need a medal or something!

No problem. Would be nice if rogers support wasn't utterly useless.
I've had nothing but trouble with this phone, I get very poor call quality, incessant dropped calls, and long distance charges even though I am at home and can see the local rogers tower out my window. Rogers support won't help me with this, and won't credit the incorrect charges either. If I'd known how much trouble this **bleep** thing would be i'd never have bought it.
Glad to have been of some help with the sms thing anyway.
