I've been looking for a place where Rogers posts known issues with the cell phone network. I'm on Mobile Internet and spent much of the weekend frustrated by unavailable service, dropped calls and wild swings in transfer rates.
If I had been told there was a network upgrade going on, it would have removed much of the frustration. I'm assuming that's what was happening because the system is fine as I write this.
When the electrical power goes out, Hydro's phone line tells you that they are aware of it, how many customers are affected, and when the power is like to be restored.
Something along the same lines - network status updates at a phone number and/ or posted on the Internet would go along way to removing the feeling that Rogers doesn't care what customers think.
