Port Forwarding on the Rocket Hub

I'm trying to setup my Rocket hub to Forward Port s 1024, 9000,  and 18000 for both the UDP and TCP.

In the Router NAT setup pager it seems to want to add instance.

I do not understand what to enter in for the NAT Port and the server Port.

I do know the IP address (192.168.1.121) that is needed for the PS3.

Thanks in advance

Kim

Does anyone in the community have a suggestion for KK1 regarding forwarding ports to a Rocket Hub?

Thanks for the welcome.
I discovered that you need to chance your contract from a private IP address to a public IP address. This will cost more per month and you will need to contact Rogers for the user name and password and the enter this info into the Rocket Hub.
Thanks

You will likely want to put the same port number in the nat port and server port. If you want to map ports to different port numbers you would enter different ones but in your case the same number in each should work.

I'm not sure what there talking about with the private/public address's. Sounds like you should be able to do what you want with mapping.

Hello everyone,

I think i can be of some assitance here, i work for Rogers and i own a Rocket Hub, and i use it to play PS3 / wii / xbox / online PC games such as Wow, and i can tell u it IS possible!

Here's how,

#1 call rogers and get a rocket hub :smileyhappy:

#2 once u receive the hub, call again and ask to add Public IP Access (this will change you IP from private to public) $10

#3 login to rocket hub using your login/password, forward all the ports that you system requires, i dont remember them all but search on google im sure u can find them, under NAT settings enter the same number for both boxes.

You're done

FYI for example Call of Duty MW2  this wont make you NAT type "open" but it will get you to NAT level 2 which is all you need to play.

Hope this helps, enjoy!

Heya,
I wrote a tutorial on how to do this (at least with the xbox 360 but I figure it's about the same) on the old forums...Which are gone now, unless someone could revive that old post somehow...

@Toddy2cool

You're right, the old forums are now directed to our new space, right here!

If you recall new tips on port forwarding on the Rogers Rocket Hub, our community would be happy to receive them. :smileyhappy:

Thanks

Hello,

When I phoned rogers about getting a public IP address, they told me they do not give them to residential addresses. But regardless, is it possible that I already have a public IP address? Because I played COD MW2 online last summer, yet when I tried to connect my ps3 to the same Hub recently, my PS3 only allows me to get a NAT 3. I have opened up all the ports, and gave the ps3 it's own IP address, the DNS's and subnet mask. I'd really like this problem resolved. If anyone has any thoughts, I'd be happy to hear them. Thank you.
