I have the wireless modem from Rogers. It's not the RocketHub, but the Motorola modem (although honestly I don't know the difference between the two, apart from that they look different), which I got September 2010.
Today, without warning, my internet connection went down. When I tried to connect to a website, I would get a page that had a unexplainably happy man talking on his phone with a Rogers logo above him.
Confused, I called technical support and lo and behold, they told me that the service is being terminated. Not only my service specifically, but the whole mobile/wireless service from Rogers. I found this ridiculous and strange but didn't argue with the tech. He also told me that I should have received a notice, which I did not. I only received my monthly bill, which I'm glad I haven't paid yet as the period I'm being charged for is Feb 15 - March 14th while the tech says the service is terminated March 1st. He also gave me two options, cable high speed (which is impossible due to the area in which I live and is the reason I got the mobile internet in the first place) or the Mobile Internet Stick, which I am not interested in as it seems impractical.
My question for this forum is: Is the Mobile internet service actually terminated by Rogers or did they simply decide to turn mine off? What is going on?
Honestly, I don't want to change companies as I'm moving cities in June, so I do want to get things straightened out with Rogers. Otherwise, I will be looking for alternative companies.

you have the "portable internet" from rogers, which is the wireless broadband that was shut down today.
there is lots of threads on the internet about this, and there is word that rogers is offering portible internet customers a migration to the rocket hub
