My first post.
I use the rocket hub for home internet. Wow 70 bucks a month ( after tax of course) for this service. I always use between 5-10 gig monthly. We live rural and this is our only option for internet at this point. Never thought I would be punished like this for living out of town since this price is double what others get with a lot more bandwidth. Also 5 dollars per gig over 10, come on!!!
Has anyone out there heard anything about a better ( actually more fair) pricing model for this service? Can any moderators comment?

@zbign1:
many other Canadians are concerned about this issue. See:
Given the requirement today to have easy and direct access to the Internet if only to access essential government services provided by federal, provincial and municipal governments in Canada, it seems a no-brainer that something needs to be done.
Contact your MP and/or MPP to push for action. Now that Harper has a majority, there should be nothing holding him back from getting essential services delivered to Canadians.

FYI Rogers and Telus's mobile internet plans are virtually identical however there are huge price discrepancies between the various cell phone plans offered. More competition I suppose.
Went with Rogers because they have 2 towers on our side of the river compared to one for Telus.
Signed the petition.

Rogers = deaf ears -- when your asking them to do something about the caps on wireless internet. They will have to be told by government before they will do anything.

There are other options, but it is very dependant on your location. I might have some suggestions if you provide your location.
