In the middle of a conversation the other person, although you can hear them clearly, will not hear you and hang up. I thought it was the cordless phones so i bought a corded phone. Still have the same issue. Does anyone have ideas?
I have just sent you a PM. Please reply at your earliest opportunity if you still require assistance.
I think your phone jack needs a balancer(not actual term). I recall Rogers coming to house to fix when I had issue with RHP..
This has happened to me a few times and seems to be happening more and more frequently. The fix is to reset the phone box. You'll need to insert a paperclip into the reset hole in the back of it.
This problem is actually quite annoying and doesn't get noticed until I notice that I'm not getting incoming calls. Sometimes I go days without telephone service before noticing it. What happens if there is an emergency and a member of my family needs the 911 service. Does Rogers expect them to calmly go to the basement and go through the reset process before calling for a fire, ambulance, or police services?
The whole point of having a land line is reliability. Rogers also has a habit of dropping my entire cable service for hours without warning, leaving me without phone, internet and cable tv. This has happened 3 or 4 times in the last 6 months.
