can anyone help?
i have a iPhone 4 and am trying to setup my shaw mail on it
realize that i must use rogers outgoing server and have set it up as
and have also tried it without :25 on end
keep getting message server is not responding
use my shaw mail id and password
authentication set to password
server port 25
any ideas would greatly be appreciated

I would be surprised if any Rogers mail server would respond to your request to send email on a Shaw account. Your email account is registered with Shaw, and I think you should be going to a Shaw-specific smtp server. The port is not the problem.
I did a quick check and Shaw seems to want you to connect to a server geographically close to you. Try the following URL to find the nearest server, based on your location:
Only a Shaw server will know your username/password combination for authentication when you connect. Rogers will not know that.

i went to the rogers site and it said to use that for outgoing mail
Try using Port 587 on the Rogers outgoing server which is smtp.rogerswirelessdata.com.
