I can't remember my password and I did a reset but I forgot if I restore my old settings my old password will be there and I don't want to have to set up everything again because I'm not sure if I remember all my old settings I had, is there anyway I could restore my old settings but just change my password?    I have the Cisco DPC3825 DOCSIS 3.0 Gateway modem.

Unfortunately no... unless there is some 3rd party illegal hack thing you could use to get it

yes I did change it and unfortunately forgot to remember it.  

Routers really need to have a forgot password because these days everything needs a password and I can't remember them all.   hehe

Haha.. that is true.

PROPER practices, they say EVERY SINGLE password should be different for every site.. login, etc.

But that will NEVER happen

Again, while not BEST password practice.. i have my wireless key and my login password the same.. just to make it easy to remember.
