April 8th 2012 & Yet Rogers nothing. I wonder if they care about their customers... man Rogers is really late & really bad with updates. Rogers i suggest releasing the update before a **bleep** storm happens with blogs / media if others starts posting it.

Just download the other vendor's version of it. The only issue I have had so far is the Hotspot, keeps telling me that activation is required to use it. If anyone knows how to fix that let me know.

thanks

what's your plan, i'm pretty sure you have to have 1gb or more of data to have hotspot.

hotspot works fine on my 9900

You can have 500MB for you to use hotspot as well. They changed it around from what i have read & seen. I could be wrong tho.

I'm just curious if anyone knows if Rogers refusal to keep our phones (Torch 9810) up to date  with the latest software is grounds to cancel my contract? All the other carriers have released it and I'm tired of waiting. **bleep**, they could at the very least SAY SOMETHING to the many customers who are waiting on them.

It's not that Rogers is refusing to update the phones but they are taking their time to put out the update. They are most likely taking fixing the Wifi calling feature on the phone ( which enables they Wifi calling)

Other then that Rogers should not be taking so long. Its looking really bad for Rogers seeing as they are not keeping customers with updates & all.

Well the month of May is approaching and still no word on 7.1 for my BB 9860 or 9900. Perhaps it is because Rogers wants to get it right; maybe they just don't care. Several major players have had their updates out for a month or so now. This is getting to be an embarrassment for Rogers and is causing unnecessary stress for their customers that they "really really" care about. Hmm??? My guess is that everybody out there knows about the same as I do, nothing. LOL. I guess in all fairness some of the updates have had problems, at least that is what I have heard. Rogers will get it right! I keep telling myself that. Silly, eh? I would do the update myself via another carrier's info but I am scared of ending up with a brick and I use my devices for work. Guess we have to focus on the positive things things that Rogers offers. Anybody from Rogers listening??????????????????????????????????

You know what? i suggest anyone just to install the leaked version or the Bell / Telus version. No one has had any issues & i have done this on over 20+ bold 9900 & 9860 torch phones for friends & family. None of them had any issues & it works just fine.

I am done waiting for Rogers. They can take the update & release it to them selfs. Many forums are saying the same. Rogers is really slow & soon enough it will cause them to have customers leave the company due to this issue.

Smarten up Rogers before people start leaving & then you have barely anyone with you guys.
.
Its really sad to see this from Rogers but what do you think? Ted Rogers left & the new guys took over & ruined the company. Ted Rogers was the best & had updates & all on time..

Install leaked versions like Meowmix say's. I have been running it for a couple of weeks and it's great. Build 7.1.0.342, better battery life, no orientation freeze on the 9810 when unlocked, hotspot of course and in general a great update.

Go to crackberry and there is simple instructions on how to install the update. Be sure to have an hour of free time though.

cheers
