Hello,

Just wondering if Rogers counts bbm messages towards text message count because I know I havent been sending regular sms and I have been using bbm and my txt msg count is still going up.

Welcome to the Rogers technical community,

Blackberry messenger and text message are separated.

Although on blackberry messenger 5.0; there may be some confusion due to the fact that you can have an integration where you can link a blackberry contact to blackberry messenger (what that means is you can add a cellular number to a contact in blackberry messenger allowing you to use blackberry messenger as a SMS messenger)

This would mean that when a recipient (that's added to link with blackberry contact) send you an SMS you do not see the SMS icon on your device anymore; you see the blackberry messenger Icon instead.

But that still qualifies as a SMS message and will be counted towards your SMS allowance for the month.

do things like facebook notifications to my phone or emails count towards recieving texts?

Facebook notifications do count if you set it up to text you. There new messaging probably prompted you to set it up as texts.
