For my birthday I got a blackberry which used to belong to my uncle. He gave it to me without deleting anything. I then rebooted it so anything saved would be deleted. The problem now is I don't know how to subscribe to any plan to be able to make calls or text, if that is even possible since it is a used one.

Please help :smileyhappy:

Do you have a account or a cellphone account with Rogers? IF you do & you are a current customer with Rogers then all you need to do is pop your SIM Card into the phone ( assuming the phone is SIM card compatible). The phone will work then.

If you are NOT a Rogers customer then you need make a pre paid account which you need to buy minutes & all for OR get a contract with Rogers depending on the years you want with them & have them add a plan you like into the account. You will also need a Sim card for the phone & have them register the sim card as well into the account.

Hope this helps.

But don't forget to make sure the phone is compatible on the Rogers network first.  Call Rogers and they will walk you though the process of determining if the phone can even be used on the Rogers network.  No sense in signing up for a plan and/or getting a SIM card if the phone is useless on the network.

I hope I've helped you.  :smileyhappy:

I argee which you're saying, i had used for Blackberry since the Blackberry Bold came out on a BB9000, Torch 9810, Curve 9300, Curve 9360. I have no problem with these phone, may be I took care good on it, even one time i was accidentally drop on the kitchen floor, not heavry, but it was nicely drop by a slipping hands gave not hold it tight, I have no problem, it was shot me when i drop and I was worry my screen will crack and I am in trouble, Guess what! nothing is crack on my screen, may be a tiny scratch on the edge, thats all. I dunno why some people say their screen is cack without drop, You know what i think they try to get it, may be they change the phone faceplate into some sort of aftermarket one, thats what I can think of, the orginal casing from Rogers, its very strong the way I look at it, so I argee your point, you do have a good point.....

The crack screens happen when you put pressure on the screen. Lets say you have the phone in your pocket & you put pressure on it, the screen will crack. I know this because it has happened to me on some of my other phones & then i noticed it while i was reading a few forums on the web.
