Re: Question on FM Tuner in OS 7.1 for 9900 - The 9900 doesn't have an FM radio in it, that's why you can't find the FM Tuner. Only the Curves have an FM radio in them.

Ok, since Roger's won't comment on when they'll be releasing OS 7.1 for the BlackBerry maybe they can comment as to why they're delaying in releasing it (and please don't tell me it's because RIM hasn't released it to Rogers yet, because that's bull). Since the other carriers have released it there's obviously nothing wrong with it.

Rogers does not comment on when the updates will come out or why they are being delayed... This has been said in page 1 & 2.

Rogers is taking their time to add their bloatware & it could be that they are trying to add the Wifi calling & they are taking their time.

Its not new. Rogers does this with updates. Look at the Nokia N8 thread. They are saying " We can not comment on updates we have yet received". Yet Nokia said to hundreds that Rogers has the updates. Same with RIM. I have a Senior Manager at RIM that emailed me saying that Rogers has had the update since Jan 2012. I have spoken to 7 reps at RIM & they all told me the same as well. Rogers loves to blame the Manufacturers yet they never take responsibility & claim that they are doing this.

Good luck tho getting a rep to comment on this. The most the reps online will say " We can not comment as we have no info on it" OR "  " Our policy is that we don't comment releases before their launch on updates or phones"

I totally agree with Meowmix.  I called Rogers myself and got the same story too.  I asked for ETA on the new OS release and all I've got from them was NO ETA.

That is why I went ahead to install the Telus version.  It works great so far.  Rogers can take its old sweet time to release it. I think by the time they release it,  I might have another new phone already.

Agreed. They might release it tomorrow or next week but the damage has already been done. Most of the OS7 users on Rogers have either added the leaked versions or the Telus / Bell version on their Rogers blackberry. Its sad but Rogers needs to start thinking about things like this instead of money.

I hope Rogers will understand what it means by happy customers.

A number of times, i really want to add more fun features to my phone from Rogers. But, when I think of those ridiculous chargers that are going to show up on my wireless bill, I backed off.

In terms of the FM radio from OS7.1, I guess there will not be a FM tuner available for the 9900 model.  I wish this phone will have such an awesome feature.

I really like the Winkitude tool.  It is so cool.  The hotspot feature is another great tool.  I have not tried the wifi calling feature just yet.

The Wifi calling feature must be the reason why they are taking so long. Either that or the Rogers developers are taking their time & like making customers pissed off... I wonder if the head Managers at Rogers actually care..

The FM Radio works only on the new curves. This is something a lot of people are upset with seeing as the Bold 9900 / Torch 9810 & Torch 9860 should have it as well.

Due to the missing FM tuner from BB 9900,  I've downloaded the FREE Rogers tuner from appworld.  The only thing is that this Rogers tuner will be using my data plan quota.
