Phone specifications comparison

I'm trying to compare the specifications between the Blackberry Bold 9900 and The Blackberry Torch and the specs show as identical. Even the display screen size was listed as the same. How can this be? The Torch's screen is obviously bigger. Anyone recommend one over the other. I'm in construction, so I'm thinking the Torch and dust won't be a great combination.

My biggest concern though is having a fast, responsive phone with alot of memory. Thanks for reading.

I have a different opinion than Meowmix, whom I respect.

I've owned both the Torch 9860 as well as the Bold 9900.  Without question, I prefer the Torch.  The ONE thing the 9900 has going for it is the physical keyboard.  I'm not a big fan of physical keyboards, but as far as they go, the 9900's is probably the best one on the market.  I prefer the full screen of the 9860.  Both phones run OS 7 so they are similar in almost every way.  One thing you'll want to watch out for is the 9900's reputation for bricking.  That's when the phone just stops working and cannot be recovered.  I had that happen to my 9900 and luckily I was able to recover it but many times you can't.

I'll just add that I got the 9900 free from RIM, it's not a phone I would have bought.  I don't know if that affects my view but I mentioned it anyway.

Whichever phone you choose, I wish you many hours of happiness with it.  Be sure to come here with any questions you have about either one.  :smileyhappy:
