No one knows until Rogers release it. Rogers does NOT comment on when it will be released or when they have it. This is how Rogers is with every software update they have.

I noticed today that Rogers has add-on packs available for wifi calling in My Rogers. Since these add-ons need 7.1 to be used, either this means that 7.1 can't be far away any more, or their website does a lousy job of filtering compatible services based on your phone.

I've read that Bell and T-Mobile in the US are starting to release 7.1 for certain models this week. Let's hope Rogers doesn't drag their feet too much longer on this.

Bell / Telus released the 7.1 already for the bold 9900. The 9810 & 9860 are coming soon but when i spoke to a Telus rep they told me sometime next week it will be released for the other 2.

For the time being i just installed the leaked 7.1 on my torch 9860. Rogers is taking their time & its bad for business & they can NOT blame RIM for the updates while Rogers has had the updates for more then a month & half.

Rogers, like every other carrier, will not announce when an OS will be released.  They let us know once it's been released but forward-thinking comments about OS are never made.

I hope that helps you.  :smileyhappy:

I just installed the Telus version on my 9900 bold straight from Blackberry. No problems & no issues at all. The Rogers apps work fine & all the apps work fine. I will just use this until Rogers starts caring about its customers & release it.

For anyone interested in following Meowmix's lead, click this link and go to the Telus site:

http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

(I'm so going to "the hot place" for offering a Telus link on the Rogers site.)

I hope that helps everyone.  :smileyhappy:
