Hi all,

I'm having trouble connecting my laptop to the Internet through my Iphone 4s hotspot. I was able to do this about a month or so ago without any problems. I can connect my laptop to wireless routers w/o any problems. However, now when I connect to my Iphone 4s hotspot it connects fine but I can't access the Internet. Reseting the network settings on my Iphone doesn't seem to help either.

I have a shared family data plan with a 2G limit.

has anything changed since the last time you were able to connect to your hotspot; OS version, drivers, hardware etc?

I haven't changed anything since then.

Since my original post, I've tried connecting to the Iphone hotspot with 5 different laptops owned by friends and coworkers. They too can connect to the iphone just fine but can't connect to the internet.

I'm having the same problem. 

I upgraded to an iPhone yesterday and wanted to figure out how to use the hotspot.  When I tether my laptop (vista) to the iPhone hotspot I only have local access.  My iPad and my husbands ASUS tablet are both able to connect to the internet using the iPhone hotspot.  What makes this particularly confusing is that all three devices are able to connect to the internet using the hotspot on his HTC phone.

It has been a while since this thread was updated so I thought that I would weigh in.
