Cellular Outage in Orleans

Seems that famously reliable Rogers signal took another nosedive ... no signal whatsoever in Orleans this morning. I've got no bars whatsoever. Even pulled the batteries in both phones. (iPhone 4 and BB Torch) just to be sure it wasn't a phone issue.

I wish Rogers would treat it's customers with as much respect as Bell (not saying much, I know) and provide a page that lists maintenance and service outages, planned and random.

Seems to be more than just Orleans today, something major is up with Ottawa or maybe even beyond. Had SOS coverage only and none at all most of the way in on the bus today to downtown from Barrhaven between 7:30 and up to now on my BB. It's still not operating on all cylinders despite what the bars say. It's in 3G mode sometimes small 3g and mostly reverting back to EDGE or GSM. Nothing is downloading or updating properly.

It's affecting everywhere..  funny My blackberry for work was ok, but my iphone was toast... some of my colleagues blackberry's were down too.

Now it seems back, and I have an IP, but the network is being complely cloged with backed up traffic.

Just checked with a work colleague, goc BBs seems to be working but they nay be on a different network segment.

Mine just went back to SOS mode now back up but still not downloading anything. This will take all day to balance out I'm sure
