No where in the country did any Rogers have iPhones in. I took the day off work drove to the GTA and back and stopped by 2-3 dozen Rogers Stores. None of them knew about this and I showed them and they thought was strange....


Most them also said they never get shipments on a weekend...


Could someone explain why we were lied to?


Please note this not a post like I WANT A iPhone where but a post asking for us to get a explanation!

called every single store and even waited at a Rogers store for 8 hours and nothing...

I feel like I've been lied to as well. Tried most of the Rogers stores in the Greater Vancouver area and none knew nothing about any stock coming in today. Most said they never receive stock on Saturdays. If you really want to be transparent Rogers 1. Give us the news bad and good. and 2. Give us the details so you don't waste our time. What "select" stores are getting stock and when.

Yeah rogers be a little more specific for once, or maybe prepare for an iphone launch for once. Even your employees are frustrated having people call in every 10 minutes  you could at least give them a little info. Any lawyers in these forums ? this has class action lawsuit potential

Ya I'm totally disappointed with Rogers on this one.
Why would they officially say that there was a shipment coming on Saturday ? I didn't waste too much time because it seemed fishy to me in the first place but in the matter of principal, I'm pissed. I hate lies, really boils my blood.

We all pay into Rogers SOOO much and we deserve better customer service.

i picked mine up on release date, but tried to help my buddy get one today given the blog post.

while i don't think they lied per se, i think rogers did a really poor job in expectation management.

i don't know what ground it would be a class action suit up above, it's very possible that some stores did get stock today, it's just not any of the stores that we tried.  I know that the downtown Toronto stores didn't get any, heard of a lot of online chatter that Montreal and Vancouver didn't get any.  Calgary & Edmonton were quite quiet, maybe they did get some.

if todays shipment was a local thing, maybe redboard with the national audience was not the best place to advertise it.

not that i demand an explanation, but i would like to see them explain to us what the heck happened

I would also love an explanation.
The original redboard post suggested the shipment was coming Monday which makes more sense but then they updated the date to Saturday ... weird !

Rogers is curently the only bussiness I know of that over promises and under delivers.

My BIG question is, why even set up expectations if you can't deliver?

I would have been satisfied with the Monday Aug 9 delivery, but to update the info to move the date UP,

sets the bar higher.

The management team needs to learn to UNDERpromise, then OVERdeliver, rather than continually disappoint.

This is a MAJOR fumble.

The worst thing is, I wasted a GORGEOUS Saturday morning camping out for the promise of an iphone4, when I could

have been spending it with loved ones.

Yeah it's getting annoying. Everyday without an iPhone 4 is...well a day without an iPhone 4. Just hope that on Monday the iPhone 4's arrive. If not then just keep calling your local Rogers Plus, Best Buy, etc. With any luck it'll just be a week or two till the majority of the stores have plenty of stock.
