how can I update my P1000 tab's firmware to somethin newer

 

firmware 2.2

ver. p100ruxjj6

kernal 2.6.32.9

build number FROYO.UXJJ6

You'll need to root it and load on CWM. If you don't know how to do that hit the link and start wandering around.
