Group Messaging on Galaxy S3

[ Edited ]

Does anyone know how to turn group messaging on? Right now, if I send a text to multiple contacts, they receive it as an individual text from me and not a group text. When they respond to be, the response shows up in their individual message thread and not in the group thread.

Thanks!

SMS can't be used for group messaging as far as I know.
Try WhatsApp. It's the most popular and all you need is the person's phone number. There is no need to add PIN's.

The SMS technology doesn't allow for group messaging.
Some phone will "lie" to you and display the conversation as a group conversation but it's one of the limitation of SMS.

You can use any email or instant messaging service to do that.
On Android, Google Talk or Gmail works great and, with push notifications, it's really "instantaneous".

WhatsApp is just another instant messaging service only available on smartphone... I don't really see the point of using this instead of MSN,Skype, Google Talk, Facebook Messenger... which are available on most smartphones and PCs.
