Why has rogers waisted time and most likely money sending 2.3.6 update, received yesterday, when the 4.0.4 update is ready and waiting.

I am waiting for it as well. I wish they could release it very soon. The new update will make the RAZR better.

Yes i got the 2.3.6 update as well. Its not wasting your time & money. Its about updating the phones with updates & issues they have.

Also you posted it in the wrong section. Any talk about Android will have to be posted into the Android forum.

ICS is not "ready and waiting".  No Motorola phone devices anywhere in the world have ICS yet.  As per https://forums.motorola.com/pages/00add97d6c Motorola is scheduled to release ICS in Q2 2012 and we are ahead of the US Droid RAZR for getting it released.  We are lucky to have even gotten the 2.3.6 update at all when within the next 3 months we will be getting ICS.  Keep your eyes on the official Motorola RAZR forums at: https://forums.motorola.com/hives/c5aa43b332/summary for info.  It will be coming soon!
