I'm here a lot

Hello, I have a Samsung Galaxy II LTE, and the phone's battery life is very poor, is there omething I am doing wrong as to why this is happening.

Further, I went with Rogers namely because of the NAME DISPLAY, and found the on both the Sony Playsattion Phone, and now the Samsung Galaxay 2 LTE, the name display feature is again not working.  Is Rogers planning on fixing this problem, and will futures phones have corrected this issue.

Thanks

I plan to stick around

I love the Samsung Captivate II LTE. I don't have any complaints about the battery but you should learn what are the things you can turn off. Also, if you don't use something or use it infrequently turn it off.

Settings > Wireless and network > Flight mode > Enable (Green checkmark)

Settings > Wireless and network > Wi-Fi settings > Turn off Wifi (No green checkmark)

Settings > Wireless and network > Wif-Fi Direct settings > Turn off

Settings > Wireless and network > Bluetooth settings > Turn off Bluetooth(No green checkmark)

Settings > Mobile network settings > Use packet data (Deactivate data network) Do this if you only need Phone & Messaging

Settings > Mobile network settings > Data Roaming > Disconnect

Settings > Location and security > Use Wireless Networks > Disable

Settings > Location and security > Use GPS Satellites > Disable

I'm sure there are many others. Watch the apps as well - some use more than others.

Hey RogersGina,

The Alcatel Tribe (aka OT-981a) is a low cost Android phone carried by WIND. It's made by Alcatel-Lucent (or TCT Mobile).

OH! On my list I forgot to list the Entourage eDGe!
